Data Retention Policy

We keep information only as long as we need it, and we automate deletion rather than relying on someone remembering.

This page is a template. It reflects how TalentSponsor is built, but it must be reviewed and completed by a qualified adviser before publication.

Retention periods

  • Candidate profile: while the account is active, then a defined inactivity period before deletion
  • CVs and uploaded documents: deleted with the profile, or earlier if the candidate removes them
  • Application records: retained for the period needed to handle disputes and legal claims
  • Consent records: retained as an append-only history for as long as we hold related data
  • Audit logs: retained for the period required for security and accountability
  • Payment records: retained for the period required by tax and accounting law

How deletion works

Account deletion removes your profile and documents. Where we are legally required to keep a record, we keep the minimum necessary and nothing more.

Review

Retention settings are held in the administrator dashboard and reviewed at least annually. Changes are recorded in the audit log.
